Tom's objective is to show the vast range and flexibility of watercolor. You will learn new techniques; plan for success; build a successful painting; and how to put drama, emotion, and creativity into your art.
Tom was selected by "American Artist" as one of the Nation's top 20 teachers. This award winning artist will show you how to push the limits of color, contrast, sunlight, and shadow. Tom likes to put fun into the process of teaching and painting. He has an organized program, with lots of visuals. He sets a goal for each day and works with each student to understand and have an example of that day's lesson.
You will see daily demonstrations with detailed explanations of all the how's and why's, followed by plenty of individual attention, and a positive critique session.

"I love brilliant color that mix easily, and darks that don't look dirty... that is why I use Holbein! In addition to your 12 - 15 regular colors, make sure to include the five "Holbein" colors listed below. My theory of color is to use the brightest color available and select a light value and a dark value of each color. "HOLBEIN" has the best color saturation of any brand. They do not mold or dry out and won’t clog up my spray bottle."
- Peacock Blue
- Perm Green #1
- Perm Yellow Lemon
- Royal Blue
